Local 194 Updates
Local 194 is happy to announce that the 2023-2027 Full-Time Contract is now available for review. Printed copies will be distributed in the near future. We encourage all members to take the time to read through the document and familiarize themselves with the new terms. Thank you for your continued and engagement.

Union Spirit Awards
Local 194 is accepting nominations for the Union Spirit Award. A $250 gift certificate will be awarded to the recipients during the second week of December to the members who have shown the most union spirit in 2026. 6 gift certificates will be awarded. Members will be considered on the basis of their showing interest in attending and bringing new members to meetings, attending union classes, participation at rallies, volunteering for phone banks, labor walks and other “Get-Out-The-Vote activities.” Members can nominate other members or themselves. Local 194 Executive Board officers are not eligible. Nomination forms will be available through the shop stewards, our Facebook page as well as our Website. All Nomination forms are due back by the last business day of November.

The new Local 194 GROUP and INDIVIDUAL MOAs have been accepted by 97% of the voters. The Bargaining Committee is proud of this HISTORIC agreement and our members will benefit greatly: Record ATB's Raises of 3.5%, Longevity Step of 3%, a LIVING WAGE, PAY PARITY and enhanced HEALTH BENEFITS for our current members and future retirees.

Please be patient as payroll processes the new agreement, you should see the changes soon and expect retroactive pay within 90 days. Finally, Local 194 will be working on a new PRINT Edition with the NJTA Human Resources Department in the new year. When complete, the Executive Board will make it available to the members.
